Hi, I’m Bob Martin! I’m an American, but I live in the Philippines.  I’ve lived in the Philippines for nearly a decade now, and I love it here.  I live on the Island of Mindanao, and a lot of people call me “Mindanao Bob.”  But, this site is not about Living in the Philippines, it’s about selling stuff on eBay!

I started selling stuff on eBay in 1998, doing it part time.  Truth is that after 6 months or so, I made a lot more money on eBay than I did on my “real job.”  So, which one really was my real job?  Ha ha.  Well, I guess in the long run, eBay turned out to be my real job.

Even after moving to the Philippines I got into selling stuff on eBay, and I did very well with it, even half a world away from where my customers were.  I found that there were some items available here in the Philippines that Americans wanted, and I could supply them cheaply, and still make a nice profit!  So, I did, and it turned out to be a great business for me.  As a matter of fact, I made more money selling on eBay than at any other kind of job that I have ever done in my life.

But, in 2007 or so, I got tired of selling on online auctions, and I decided to quit.  Lately, though, I’ve been having that “auction itch” again, and I want to get back into it.  Some of the rules and procedures may have changed in the few years that I’ve been away, but that’s OK, learning new stuff is a good thing!  I want you to come along on my new journey, learn some lessons with me as I start selling on eBay (and maybe other online Auctions too) again.  I’ll also share some stories from my past life too, so that you’ll know where I’m coming from.
